Popping in

...to say thank you so much for all your kind thoughts, warm hugs and well wishes. I can't tell you how much it has meant to me, even though I've been so silent. And I promise to tell you more than what follows in this post, but for now I thought a little update was in order!

Right now I'm back in the wine country with my family. Mr. Romi's shoulder surgery was longer than expected, but successful, and - as long as we are able to force him (and I do mean force him) to take it easy - he is in line for a 100% recovery. Woot! I didn't realize how stressed I was about it until I slept 13 hours the night he came home. Heh. And he's the one on pain killers! He wanted to leave today, but I convinced him to stay a bit longer and get past those first few days before the long drive back.

That's Otto, the Miniature Schnauzer. He'll be coming back with us too. :)
