Happy New Year, Romi!
I love Dr Seuss! Cute poem and BEAUTIFUL shawl! You are so talented! Happy New Year.
Go Romi Go!
Thanks for even taking a moment to blog - I've been thinking of you and cheering you on in my mind over and over the last few days!
And if it comes down to the wire tonight? Maybe you can arrange some kind of virtual translocation to join Obama on vacation in Hawaii - that would give you a few extra hours! :-)
Very nice. Looks like a perfect finish!
Asterope is the Blue one and Alcyone is the red one * looks hopeful * Theya re all wonderful and I will spend 2011 knitting them!!
How fitting that you finished on December 31 since in ancient times it was believed that the sun rose at the vernal equinox in conjunction with the Pleiades and CULMINATED on December 31! As for the naming, that's easy: the blue one is Alcyone because in her grief at losing her husband she threw herself into the sea and became a kingfisher. The pattern is so reminiscent of peaceful, "halcyon" ocean waves. The red one is Asterope. Congratulations!
I am in love with your new designs! 2011 is going to be a year filled with knitting your beautiful designs! Glad you reached your goal for 2010, you must feel elated or exhausted! This is your new year and you are so talented, thank you Ravelry for connecting us!

I love the red one. I can't believe you were able to do all this in the one year! Looking forward to many hours of knitting.
