Monday's Musing

As a kid, I was well known as the world's biggest pessimist. (I think I cultivated the reputation.) This was one of my favorite poems:

I also liked another one about optimists. I don't remember who wrote it, but it went:

The optimist fell ten stories.
At each window bar
He called to his friends in the window:
"I'm all right so far!"
