At least I have an excuse now!
I've been feeling very very tired for some time. Those who have read my blog for awhile might remember that I found out I am Vitamin D deficient. The mega doses of D helped a lot, but I am still dragging and kind of fuzzy headed. It now turns out that I'm also anemic! It came on so gradually that I don't think I realized how exhausted I really am. No wonder! Well, I'm looking forward to having more energy. Yes...yes, I am.

Oooh yeah, I had been walking a half mile to work every day and wandering around the south of France on foot, and only THEN did they discover my HCT was only 24!!
Oh I'm sorry to hear that but at least it can be treated now!
I know what that is like. Feel better soon!
Oh, Romi! It must be an epidemic! I had the same pair of problems. Please take Vitamin D3--not D2--it absorbs so much better. And be very careful about the iron you take. The standard recommended ferrous sulfate (cheap and readily available at the discount store) is about as worthless as swallowing plastic. Find something that comes in a powdered (capsule) form, preferably as close to real food as possible. E.G., ground up liver. I'm not a crazy nut job, really! I've been through it and had many ups and downs using the wrong thing. I take Hemevite. It is so excellent and has changed my life. Not tired. And can think clearly for the first time in over a year! I know this is a forever long comment, but I used to post on your Rav group that I just couldn't do Muir--well, now that I'm no longer anemic, I can knit lace. It was a matter of concentration. The red blood cells are what take oxygen to every part of your body. When you don't have enough, your whole body and all the organs are starving. I'm so glad you got diagnosed!!!
Yay! Glad you will be re-energizing and getting back to your old self soon.
I usually don't post a comment here, because I read your posts in Google reader, but I had to post today. Please please please get checked out for celiac disease. My dear sister in law had the same symptoms and struggled for a year getting vitamin D injections every week. It's a simple blood test and can mean a world of health if you test positive. Also consider looking into "The Diet Cure" and Julia Ross's practice in Marin County. Her health questionnaire is excellent. Best wishes for your health...and keep making beautiful things.
