Crochet

The top ten great things about crochet:

10. It's quick.
9. Only one hook is involved, so there's no chance of losing one dpn or dropping a needle.
8. It's difficult to stab yourself with a crochet hook.
7. When you are crocheting lace, there's no chance of dropping a stitch.
6. It's easy to crochet rounds.
5. The court allows prospective jurors to have crochet hooks (but not knitting needles).
4. If you don't count your stitches exactly right, there's a good chance no one will ever notice.
3. It's portable.
2. Crocheted lace is lovely.

and the number one great thing about crochet:

1. There's no binding off.

I agree with all of it! Sometimes it just so much easier to worry about one loop instead of hundreds.

Rosemary- I'll leave the crochet those of you that are good at it.

I know enough to get by, but it isn't my thing.

I finally conquered crocheting after much time putting it off. I actually had to call my mom and ask, "How do I finish?" after having such a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that you just...finish. *laugh*

I must warn you... as far as #8... it may be more difficult, but it is not impossible, as my sister will unfortunately attest to.
She poked a tiny crochet hook right into her palm at the bottom of the thumb. And then she couldn't get the dang thing out because of the hook at the end of it!
So make sure you know which end of the hook you're pushing on!
