About Me
- Name: Romi
- Location: Beautiful Northern Nevada, United States
I've always loved being crafty, but never imagined I could be lucky enough to do it for a living until I started Designs by Romi in 2005 after getting hooked on lace knitting. Things grew from there, and these days I'm teaching and designing knitwear - especially shawls! - as well. I owe the internet knitting community a debt of gratitude for making it possible for me to fondle yarn, fiber and beads incessantly, and not feel guilty about it!

Beautiful, especially the one with two rows of pearls.
Congratulations, Cover Girl!
They are lovely, and I can't wait to try my hand at them. Your model is stunning, too!
BEAUTIFUL!
Those are stunning! Going to check out the mag right now.
Yay! You're a Knitty regular - and how many covers is this? Lovely earrings - I already printed out the pattern. Congratulations!
Simply adorable Romi.....congrats once again!
I can't get into the pattern quite yet (too many excited knitters on the site) but as soon as I saw the thumbnail, I thought it was yours!
Hmmm; there is a holiday open house at our local bead shop tonight. I was considering going anyway (can you say, 'cookies and treats', but also 20-30% off everything in the store)? And they have some new pearls in, apparently? Hmmm. Haven't knitted with wire yet, but I do have some to try. Let's see if I can get that pattern open before I go....
WOW! The earrings are really pretty, and you model is absolutely beautiful!!!!
Thanks to you my holiday list has been completely overturned, hurrah! Absolutely awesome. Congratulations!
Those are beautiful!
so so pretty, romantic, lovely.
Bravo
Christine
I am so taken with the earrings, and was designing in my mind until I got to the end and saw they were yours. Thanks for being your talented and creative self once more, to the benefit of last minute gifters like me :-)
These are absolutely stunning!
Your designs continue to inspire
thank you, thank you, thank you.
When I opened knitty last evening, was thrilled to see these and knew they were yours. Congratulations!
That is three of the last 5 knitty ! covers I believe young lady.
Ms Foppiano is lovely as is your jewelry.
Congratulations, Romi! That's three covers now, isn't it? :)
congratulations rosemary, those earrings and photos are just gorgeous!
Cool, cool, cool!
Not only is your project a TOTAL 10+++ -- but your model is absolutely gorgeous as well!!
CONGRATS on FP KNITTY :)
Ooh, Susan told me about these earrings. I've never made jewelry, but she's convinced me I can probably figure these out.
I want to make some for my daughter for Christmas. I'm so excited!!!!
I hope I can find the silver wire at a local bead store; I've never looked for anything like that.
Lovely! I've got to make these! I just need to pick up a few things, I've got wire already.
Umm.. I have tried to make these twice now, and I keep getting cat barf. But yours are beautiful.. am I supposed to be knitting the first stitch super tight or slipping it or something? Because that is where most of my issue seems to lie..
As always, beautiful. I'm still stuck on the napkin rings, but if I ever get the knack of knitting with wire (or maybe get over being a perfectionist about knitting with wire), then these will be on my queue in ravelry!
