I had a rabbit growing up that used a litterbox and therefore had the run of our downstairs. Now, I was a tomboy, but I had one doll I really liked. I didn't realize it, but she had slipped between my lower bunk and the wall. Twitches liked it under my bed...and apparently liked my dolls plastic face, too. I found her with her nose and chin nibbled off. Bawled my eyes out, and my mother informed me it would teach me a lesson. *sigh*
It did. I have dogs...Scotties, actually, so I clued in the list I own that Liz is on about the pin! Sorry about your needle, Romi!
