Monday's Musing

This made me smile! I hope you like it. :)

"A pessimist is one who makes difficulties of his opportunities and an optimist is one who makes opportunities of his difficulties."
- Harry Truman

What do you think?

Have a fabulous week!!

We always say that I am a pessimistic optimist and my husband is an optimistic pessimist. I find all the obstacles along the way, but think things will turn out okay in the end. He SOUNDS more upbeat at the beginning, but can always find the dark cloud inside the silver lining :)

I always enjoy your Monday musings but this quote is great. I've not heard it before. It really does give the best definition of pessimism and optimism that I've heard.

Hi Rosemary! (hard for me to NOT type "ie" on the end!).

This might be subject to correction by someone who actually knows Mandarin or Cantonese, but it's my understanding that in one of the Chinese languages, the symbol for crisis and opportunity are the same!

If I could find that symbol, I'd have it tattooed on my right arm! (the left one already has a tattoo ... shhhh!!).

Congrats on the book, btw ... !!

An optimist fell ten stories
At each window bar
He called to his friends in the window,
"I'm all right so far!"

I'm a realist.
