In Waiting

Here she is...my Mystery Stole 3 awaits the 3rd clue tomorrow morning:

The bead shot:

Since I am using US 7 needles, my stole when gently blocked is about 23 inches in width.

And late, as always, to the party, I will now extol the virtues of The Grumpy One. While helping Susan with her Odessa, I became so completely hooked that I had to knit one myself. Since it is to be used as a chemo cap, I made it half an inch deeper. It was knit in a mystery yarn that I am pretty sure is Lavold Silky Wool. And here, because I couldn't resist this adorable little face, is Dr. Destructo modeling the finished cap.

Later, I added an i-cord with beads threaded through the bottom row of yarn overs.

Without the beads on the crown, it just needed something, you know what I mean? Plus, the silk content of the yarn made me wonder if it would hold any kind of shape at all.

Thank you, Kathy, for a great and addictive pattern!

Oh my, you are SO not helping my want-to-do list. I like my pale blue MS3, but yours is drop-dead gorgeous.

I love the hat, and the model is very cute. He must be good at hiding his alter ego, Dr. D. :-)

The stole is gorgeous -- were you expecting a stole or a shawl? Is that part of the surprise? I may need to make one of those hats, too -- it's great!

You're not as late to the party as me - I havent' knitted an Odessa yet, although I've wanted to (and probably should have started one last night, while watching Everything is Illuminated...set in Odessa).

The stole looks fab. After I take the chart-reading class at Stitches East, I hope not to be intimidated by something like that.

Very nice! The stole is coming along *gorgeously*, and the Odessa... I hadn't been intrigued with it before but this version in the Lavold (I agree... it sure looks like it) with the beads and I cord detail... stunning.

Your MS3 is gorgeous. I like the beads too. Now, this is the KSH you are using, right? I looks wonderful. I am just collection clues. Haven't done a thing on it yet.

Of course, little Dr. D has stolen the show once again. What a grin. He is so danged cute and full of the dickens, hard for lace to compete. He ought to be a movie star.

Ooh everything is so beautiful. I'm terribly intrigued by the silver yarn on rosewood. Any hints you could send my way?

I'm terribly envious of your shawl. I've only just picked a yarn (I think) and I still have to pick from bead possiblities. I'm so far behind I'll never catch up.
