Fear of success. That's what stops me from doing what I need to do on the writing end, but I'm trying to get over that because I realize it's crazy. lol

Fear of bikes and ladders and you know how that ended. ;-)
Fear of actually getting what you want can keep you from work towards the goal that will bring it to you.
I have a weird fear of crickets, but with the cold weather they are dying now.

i never heard the second bit before, but it's so true "nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror." letting fear of the unknown control our thoughts and actions is so dangerous to our souls. i have been afraid of many things in my life and conquered most of them (i think). realizing that i really was the one deciding if i was happy or not was a huge turning point for me.
I love Rachel Remen's statement: "Fear is the friction in all changes."

Fear...and scorpions....and snakes...and poisonous spiders....and....
I used to listen to FDR's Fireside Chats with my parents. I was little. About 4. FDR was one of my heros. His picture hung above my bed. I don't know if kids have heros nowadays to help them deal with fear.
Nowadays, I am not afraid of anything except snakes and spiders. Ugh.
