Everybody was Kung Fu Fighting

Those cats were fast as lightening
In fact it was a little bit frightening.
But they did it with expert timing.

#1 Son won first place in kata for his division! Wooooo! Just look at that smile. :) We had some chocolate espresso cheesecake to celebrate his victory! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

In other news, Ishi in Japan finished her Muir! And so did Jenni in Finland! Aren't they lovely?!

And in answer to Debi's request to see my earrings that made it into Vogue, well! here they are.

I still don't have the magazine, but I hear it's on the way. :)

  3. Congrats to the kata kid! :D
I just reached the 10th repeat and I think 13 repeats would be just the right length for me ... so I am close to finishing too!
I saw that earrings on your shop's site and they are certainly very cute ... just that I don't wear earrings much. :D Otherwise, I would have ordered a pair for myself.

  5. In my pre-coffee state I'm thinking, "sure they got finished so early because of the time difference."

    It's such a beautiful pattern.

  10. Yay for your son! (and I hope you had a piece of cheescake for me ...)

I ordered a pair of your earrings on Friday. When they come, I'm giving them to my husband to put away until Christmas for me. That way it will be a surprise all over again. And for the only time in my life, I'll actually have something that was seen in Vogue ...

  15. Congratulations to your son! He looks quite proud. That's big trophy!
My son, when he was 6 years old, had judo classes. They start with a white belt. One day, after his group graduated to the next level, their teacher told them ,that now, their belts had to be dyed yellow, and showed them a little pill, for fabric dyeing. One of the boys asked, if he had to swallow this pill, so his belt would turn yellow. That was so adorable and hilarious, the whole room vibrated with laughter. ;o)
